More Apple Silicon Updates For Linux 6.15 Help M1/M2 Plus iPad / iPod / iPhone

Already queued ahead of the Linux 6.15 merge window opening later this month are DeviceTree support for Apple’s T2 SoCs as well as other DeviceTree additions set to be mainlined. A third round of DeviceTree patches were sent out on Sunday morning to the Linux kernel mailing list for the upcoming v6.15 cycle.
Sven Peter continues working on upstreaming more of the Apple Silicon hardware support where relevant and possible. This is not only about the newer M-Series Apple SoCs but also the Apple SoCs powering devices like the iPad, iPod, and iPhone.
With today’s batch of Apple DT updates there are now touchbar screen nodes added for the Apple M1 and M2 platforms. This comes with the Apple Touch Bar display drivers set to be mainlined for Linux 6.15 after being queued this past week into DRM-Next. Thus the new touchbar screen nodes now added to the relevant DT files for the supported Apple M1/M2 devices.
