The Linux 6.11 kernel is expected to be christened as stable tomorrow (9/15). Ahead of that stable release one of the last minute “fixes” is adding in another ID for upcoming Intel Arrow Lake processors.
For months already Intel engineers have been building out the Arrow Lake support within the Linux kernel that is largely following existing Meteor Lake driver paths. With Linux 6.11 it appears the base support for Intel Arrow Lake platforms will be in good shape — at least what I can see from my external monitoring of public patches. We’ll see once getting our hands on Intel Arrow Lake processors when released.
